Fruit Cobbler

½ cup sugar
2 Tablsp butter
1 cup flour
2 teasp baking power
¾ cup milk
1/8 teasp salt

Cream sugar & butter; add milk, add four, salt, baking powder & beat until smooth. Pour batter into square pan & spread 2 cup fruit (Canned or fresh) over top of batter. Pour 1 cup sugar over fruit & 1 cup water over sugar. Bake at 350 for 45 min.
