Chicken Casserole (2 ways)


Way 1:

3-4 Chicken breast – cooked & cut up
¾ cup celery –chopped fine
½ cup mayonnaise
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can drained mushrooms
1 can water chestnuts-drained & cut
½ pkg stove top bread stuffing-chicken flavor
1 stick butter

Mix first 6 ingredients. Place in 2 quart dish. Mix stuffing as is with butter & put over top of mixture. Bake 30-40 minutes in medium (350 degree) oven.


Way 2:

4 cups cooked chicken, diced
1 (16 oz.) sour cream
1 (10 oz.) can mushroom soup
1 (8 oz.) can water chestnuts
1 cup celery, chopped
1 cup onion, chopped
½ cup butter, melted
2 cups stuffing mix

Put chicken in bottom of 9x13 baking dish. Mix sour cream, soup, water chestnuts, celery, and onion. Pour over chicken. Mix butter & stuffing mix & spread over top. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees.
