Base:
1 cup flour
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup margarine or butter, softened
4 eggs
1 1/2 cups (16 ounces) Hershey's syrup
Mint Cream Layer:
In a small mixing bowl combine until smooth:
2 cups confectioners sugar
1/2 cup margarine or butter, softened
1 tablespoon water
1/2 teaspoon mint extract
3 drops green food coloring
Chocolate Topping:
Melt and stir until smooth:
6 tablespoons margarine or butter, melted
1 cup mint chocolate chips or semi-sweet chocolate chips
Heat oven to 350 degrees.
Grease a rectangular pan, 13x9x2 inches.
In a large mixing bowl beat flour, sugar, butter, eggs and syrup until smooth. Pour into pan and back 25-30 minutes or until top springs back when lightly touched (top may appear wet). Cool completely in pan.
Spread mint cream layer on cake and chill.
Pour chocolate topping on top of mint layer. Cover and chill.
