Gustav's Swiss Cheese Fondue

This recipe is from a German restaurant in Portland, Oregon. They make a pretty tasty fondue!

5 cups of processed Swiss cheese (must be processed)
2 cups water
1 cup chablis wine
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon butter
1/4 teaspoon accent seasoning (also known as MSG)
a dash of white pepper
a dash of nutmeg
1/2 loaf rye bread, cut into 2 inch squares
1/2 loaf french bread, cut into 2 inch squares

Grate the cheese. Bring water, wine, butter and seasoning to a boil. Add cheese and set in a double boiler. Stir thoroughly with a wooden spoon until cheese melts into a heavy sauce. If too thick, add more wine. If too thin, add more cheese. You must use a double boiler or the cheese will burn.
