Chocolate Chip Cookies

This recipe makes a double batch-which is perfect for baking some now and freezing to bake some later!

2 cups shortening
1 cup sugar
2 cups firmly packed brown sugar
2 tsp vanilla
4 eggs
4 cups and 8 tbsp flour
2 tsp baking soda
2 tsp salt
1 package chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 375.

Cream the shortening, sugars, and vanilla until light and fluffy.

Fold in 4 eggs.

Sift and add flour, baking soda and salt.

Add 1 package of chocolate chips and mix thoroughly.

Drop by small spoonful on a greased cookie sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
