1 stick butter
2 squares (ounces) baking chocolate
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
3/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Grease and flour 8 inch square pan.
3. Melt butter and chocolate over very low heat.
4. Remove from the heat and add the sugar.
5. Add one unbeaten egg, mix will with a fork; then add the other egg and mix until all of the egg is combined.
6. Add vanilla and nuts.
7. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Add to chocolate mixture and mix thoroughly. Pour into the greased baking pan.
8. Bake 25 to 30 minutes.
